Planar irradiance collectors are sampling optics designed to collect ultraviolet, visible, and infrared light over 180°, with a cosine response that favors light entering tangentially to the face of the collector.  The cosine response simplifies the measurement of complex light fields containing both point and diffuse radiation.  Planar irradiance collector connects to fiber optics with a SMA-905 connector and o-ring seal.  Designed for underwater use with HOBI Labs fiber optic cables, but can be used with any SMA-905 terminated cable.  Can be optimized for either submerged or in-air cosine response
