In-situ optical backscattering sensor that measures the backscattering coefficient at two wavelengths and excitation- emission fluorescence associated with these two wavelengths. Unsurpassed performance and competitive price.

hs2.top.brochure
The HydroScat-2 is the junior version of our premier six-wavelength backscattering sensor, the HydroScat-6.  The HS-2 offers the same accuracy and outstanding performance of the HS-6, with the exception that it is a two-channel as opposed to six-channel instrument.  The performance that the HydroScat-2 (and -6) offers can be found nowhere else (see spec sheet).  The backscattering measurement is calibrated to provide the backscattering coefficient bb and the volume scattering function at 140 degrees.  Moreover, fluorescence emission at the longer wavelength , excited by the shorter wavelength, is measured separately.  The HS-2 is thus also a single-channel fluorometer!

The HydroScat-2 is nearly as easy to use as a flashlight. Simply flip a switch and it starts logging data internally.  Its on-board computer can be programmed for almost any type of data collection schedule.  The internal batteries are rechargeable and provide up to 20 hours of continuous operation.  If you prefer real-time data collection, the HS-2 is easy to connect directly to a computer, where data can be displayed and stored using our highly acclaimed HydroSoft software package.  Simply put, the HydroScat-2 is the most advanced, robust, accurate, and easy-to-use optical sensor of its kind in the world.  Nothing comes close.  Contact us today for more information and to get a quote on our unbeatable price.
